Hi!
I'm here to help you.

To write a story, you usually
need at least two people,
two characters.
That's how Narada started, too, with "
" by Andra and Alex.
Both were very young, but their hearts were bursting with a desire to make a difference. Andra was an entrepreneur. She had already achieved success, but she felt that something was missing. She couldn’t remain indifferent.

Alex was a numbers guy. He was also the kind of person who could no longer look at statistics on school dropouts without feeling a pang in his heart. Two different perspectives, but a shared desire: to change reality.

Driven by a deep desire to make a difference, Andra did some “market research” and discovered a study outlining the main reasons why children don’t attend school, why they skip classes, or, worse, drop out far too early.

The top three reasons, in order of importance, were: a lack of support from parents who didn’t see the value in school, preferring to send their children to work to earn extra income for the household; toothaches; and a lack of proper shoes to walk to school in.

With a heavy heart, she went to Alex and said:
“What if we, together with all our friends, and our friends’ friends, each bought a pair of shoes for these children?”

In this way, they realized that the problem with education in Romania wasn’t about the lack of these shoes—resources could always be found to provide them—but about the need for involvement, about the power of the many.

That’s how Narada was born: from a simple yet profound thought.
That “It’s okay for us to do it.”

AsAndra, co-founder of Narada, herself says:
“We decided not to wait until we were a little older, until we had the business experience to provide us with more substantial financial resources, or until we had finished some of our education. Instead, we looked at what we could do at that stage. And we did it.”
They gathered a handful of volunteers and started with small but determined steps. They supported innovative teachers. Then, during the pandemic, they created an emergency system for education. They digitized the school. They integrated refugee students from Ukraine. They created a platform that brings to light the hidden needs of schools. They launched projects that didn’t just repair walls, but rebuilt hope.

Today, Narada is no longer just about rapid responses. It’s about the future. About a school where every child matters. About supported teachers. About an entire country that decides not to wait any longer.

Our vision?

A Romania where every child is prepared for life,
no matter where they start.

Education isn’t just about grades. It’s about a voice, about confidence, about the courage to dream. And our dream is clear: to transform education from an obstacle into a bridge. For everyone.
And yes, we still think it’s okay for us to do it.
Together.
